Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell drop in on The Late Late Show; Timonty West is Piers Morgan's guest on UTV Ireland; and Queen rock Montreal on Sky Arts - here's our top telly picks for tonight

The Late Late Show, RTÉ One, 9.35pm

Daddy's Home stars Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell join Ryan on tonight's show. Also tonight, fresh from his International Emmy win for 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy,  Baz Ashmawy will also be dropping in to discuss the emotional journey he’s undertaken while re-embracing his Egyptian heritage and exploring Islam in his new RTÉ show, despite being a lapsed Muslim since childhood. Storm Queen Teresa Mannion, who will be chatting about her crazy week when her breathless news report went viral and spawned more than a few memes. There's also chat and music from The Corrs, who're back after a ten year break and there'll also be tuns from Paul Brady and Villagers.

Piers Morgan Life Stories, 9.00pm, UTV Ireland

Prunella Scales, the star of Fawlty Towers and lots more subsequently, cannot remember her 53-year-marriage to husband Timothy West - lately seen in Eastenders - because of her advanced Alzheimer's. This fact is perhaps the most startling and saddest of the revelations in tonight’s encounter. Scales' condition came to light when West noticed that his wife was forgetting how to do simple things like making a cup of tea. The veteran actor also reveals the trauma of his first wife's mental health problems, and how he finally made peace with his daughter after years of estrangement. Timothy also reflects on his role at the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles, and the time he toured the set of Coronation Street, disguised as former Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev.

Queen Rock Montreal, 11.00pm, Sky Arts

This 1981 concert featuring Freddie Mercury and his pals was filmed live in front of 18,000 adoring fans at Montreal's Forum. Following their record-breaking South American tour, the Montreal shows in November, 1981, were to be the only concerts by Queen ever shot on film. Moreover, Queen were the first group to shoot an entire show in full cinematic format.  So sit back for We Will Rock You, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, and We Are The Champions, and Under Pressure being performed live for the first time. In further Queen visits, A Night at the Opera follows at 1.00am, and at 2.00am it’s Freddie and the boys live in Milton Keynes, which somehow doesn’t have the same ring as Live in Montreal.
