Dublin singer Glen Hansard may be adding another Grammy to his Oscar after his solo album Didn't He Ramble was nominated for the music gong today. Meanwhile, besties Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are set to battle it out at the ceremony in LA this February.
Hansard is nominated in the Best Folk Album category and he's up against Norman Blake's Wood, Wire & Words, Béla Fleck And Abigail Washburn self-titled album, Rhiannon Giddens' Tomorrow Is My Turn and Patty Griffin's Servant Of Love at the ceremony, which takes place in LA's Staples Center on February 16.
Hansard shared a Grammy win in 2013 for Best Musical Theater Album for the stage production of Once with fellow musicians including his former partner Markéta Irglová.
He and Irglová were also nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media for Once in 2007 and Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media for their song Falling Slowly in the same year.
Ed and Taylor are both nominated for Record of The Year and Song of The Year. Newcomer Courtney Barnett, Alabama Shakes and The Weeknd are also among the nominees for the 58th Grammy Awards.
