Independent Irish feature film North Circular Road scooped four of the top gongs at the Angel Film Awards at the 2015 Monaco International Film Festival.
The haunting debut feature from director Donal Nugent was the runaway winner taking home the coveted Best Feature Award as well as Best Director, Best Actress (Lorna Larkin) and Best Supporting Actress (Orla McGovern).
Speaking ahead of the awards Nugent said: "North Circular Road was made on a tiny budget, but the passion and skill of everyone who worked on it shines through in the film’s quality. It is a huge honour to be selected for the Angel Film Awards, and to feature in an incredibly prestigious line up."
"The Monaco International Film Festival is one of the most exciting platforms for filmmakers who have a vision of storytelling that goes beyond the ordinary. We are delighted that North Circular Road is being recognised among some of the best filmmaking in the world, and look forward to entertaining new audiences with this compelling and original Irish film," added producer Kathy Horgan.
Pat O’Donnell stars alongside Larkin and McGovern in North Circular Road which tells the story of weather forecaster Janice Cadogan, who begins to see disturbing visions of a troubled couple in her new home.
A cinema release date for North Circular Road is being planned for 2016.
