Transformers star Jack Reynor is among the actors who have been linked to the role of the young Han Solo in an upcoming Star Wars spin-off movie.
The Solo adventure is not due to begin shooting until January 2017 for a May 2018 release, but already many young stars have read or auditioned for the role made famous by Harrison Ford.
"This has been the easiest movie to audition for," an agent told trade publication the Hollywood Reporter. "They are seeing everyone."
Other actors linked to the role include Bad Neighbours' Dave Franco, Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, The Walking Dead's Chandler Riggs, The Fault in Our Stars' Ansel Elgort and Fury's Logan Lerman.
Ford reprises his role as Solo in the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, which opens in cinemas on December 17.
Reynor has a very busy two years ahead schedule-wise, with Dublin musical drama Sing Street, the adaptation of Sebastian Barry's The Secret Scripture, wartime thriller HHHH, crime movie Free Fire and Jungle Book: Origins all set for release.
