It may have won an International Emmy earlier this week but Baz Ashmawy has confirmed that his hit show 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy will not return after its third season.

The Sky One show follows Baz and his 70-year-old mother Nancy as they try out various extreme sports and daredevil activities and it was awarded an Emmy for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment Show on Monday night in New York.

Speaking to the Sunday Business Post, 40-year-old Ashmawy confirmed that the show will not be coming back for another season.

"I would hate to ever exhaust it to the point where you ruin the goodness of it," he said. "Can it be that? Can it be better? Can we make more of it?"

Ashmawy is currently filming The Lost Muslim, a new two-part show for RTÉ2 about his Muslim heritage, which will air before the end of this year.
