La Galaxie said that they loved with working with Into The West star Rúaidhrí Conroy, who played Tayto in the classic Irish movie, on their cinematic new video for Love System.

Speaking to TEN's Sarah McIntyre, band members Michael Pope and David McGloughlin revealed that they nicknamed the actor 'Benicio Del Tayto' due to the intensity of his performance.

Frontman Pope said: "We were calling him Benicio Del Tayto for a while because he has this real magnetism."

McGloughlin added that they felt a bit out of depth appearing in the video, saying: "At first we were maybe a little bit reticent because we don't consider ourselves actors" as opposed to the "genuine actors in this, who have been in Hollywood films and stuff!"

Brendan Canty, the man behind Hozier's epic Take Me To Church directed the video, which has an Americana feel with distinctly Irish references.

"We'd been trying to work with Brendan Canty for ages, Brendan had directed the Hozier video and a whole bunch of others, I can't even begin to reel off his videography, but we'd been trying to find the right project for ages," Michael said.

"I got cut out of that video by the way! But we could see when we were out there what they were doing, it was really exciting. Brendan had a really clear idea we just knew it would turn out well."

The Dublin electro-pop kings have just released their new album Le Club in the UK and Europe, which they feel comes closest to capturing the energy of their electrifying live performances.

They travelled to Los Angeles to mix the record with renowned electronic producer and former DFA man Eric Broucek, which really helped shape the sound of the album.

Pope explained: "Being in the city changed the way we worked on the album itself so what we got out of it was a very unique feel. It doesn't even sound like we recorded it really, which we did!"

David added: "It was incredible for us because there is LA tinged themes on the album and that West Coast sound comes through on some of the songs.

"Sometimes people would have commented that maybe we hadn't quite captured some of the live energy on record, so with him he's got such an amazing pedigree as a dance mixer and producer it was very important for us to find someone like him who could breath that life into what it is that we do. We were so pleased with the result."
