Kerry Katona's husband George Kay has appeared in court accused of assaulting her at their home in East Sussex.
The former rugby player was charged with assault by beating and unlawful possession of a stun gun disguised as a torch. He also faces a third charge of possessing a bladed article, relating to a hunting knife which was found in a wardrobe.
According to the BBC, Kay did not enter a plea at Brighton Magistrates's Court when he appeared earlier today (November 26) and he was released on bail with a number of conditions, including that he makes no contact with Katona unless via a third party or solicitor.
He is next due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on January 11.
Kay was arrested at their home in Crowborough on October 3 following an alleged domestic dispute with Katona.
The former rugby player was released on bail and returned to the police station on Saturday (October 24), where he was charged with assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Former Atomic Kitten star Katona and Kay married in September 2014 and have a one-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge together.
After Kay's arrest, Katona's spokesperson confirmed that their marriage is over.
In a statement, her representative said: "It is with deep sadness that Kerry announces the end of her marriage to George Kay. Her focus now will be on her gorgeous children."
Katona has children Molly, aged 14 and Lilly-Sue, aged 12 with former husband Brian McFadden, and Heidi, aged 8 and Max, aged 7 from her marriage to Mark Croft.
