Modern Family star Reid Ewing has revealed that he is gay, a week after publicly admitted that he became addicted to plastic surgery following a struggle with body dysmorphia.
The 27-year-old actor, who stars as Dylan on the popular sitcom, took to Twitter to compliment the good looks of a male guest on Good Morning America, prompting one fan to ask if he was outing himself.
Reid simply replied that "I was never in".

Its the second big revelation the star has made in the past week. In a blog on The Huffington Post website Reid explained that his obsession with plastic surgery began in 2008 when he first arrived in Hollywood at 19 years of age.
He wrote: "I genuinely believed if I had one procedure I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt."
"I told the doctor why I felt my face needed cosmetic surgery and told him I was an actor. He agreed that for my career it would be necessary to get cosmetic surgery."
However he added that he now regrets having so many surgeries and wishes it was possible to go back and undo them.
The actor has won widespread praise from followers for being open about his sexuality and to help raise awareness about mental illness.
