Everyone's favourite love guru Fred Sirieix, Maître D' of the Channel 4 First Dates' restaurant, has become the breakout star of the show and now RTÉ2 are offering YOU the chance to takeover from the man himself in the Irish version of the show.
If you like dishing out matchmaking advice and consider yourself to be a bit of a romantic then today could be your lucky day as RTE2's version of the popular dating show is looking for a vibrant and engaging Maître D' for the upcoming series (beard not necessary).
“Everybody knows Fred from the Channel 4 version of First Dates and now we are searching for the Irish equivalent," series producer Hilary O’Donovan said.
"The perfect Maître D’ will be warm, engaging and have a unique view everything love and relationships. We’re delight to open the search for the Maître D’ that will be the face of the First Dates restaurant in Ireland," she added.
To apply for the role all applicants will need to submit a video audition and upload a recent CV outlining their experience. Apply at cocotelevision.ie
The First Dates restaurant, where potential matches meet, will be filmed in a secret location which will be announced closer to broadcast in the New Year.
Every moment of the first dates are captured by tiny cameras which promise to pick up on awkward moments, cheeky banter and of course, outrageous flirting.
