Dancer Ola Jordan has quit Strictly Come Dancing one year after her husband James Jordan was booted off the BBC show.

The 33-year-old professional dancer has been on the hugely successful series since 2006, just two years into its run.

According to unnamed sources, she has decided to leave at the end of the current season. An insider is quoted in UK media as saying: "This has been on the cards a while. She's very loyal to James so when he was forced out it left a sour taste."

Jordan departed from the competition in the first week of this year's run, after her partner, Iwan Thomas, failed to impress the judges and voting viewers with his Cha Cha.

Sources claimed that her relationship with the show's bosses hasn't been as strong as it used to be, ever since her husband James was axed last year.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood also had a go at the Polish dancer for doing too many "sexy shoots".

The insider added: "And her calendar shoot was a bit racy, but Strictly dancers aren't paid a huge amount.

"She has so many work offers, she can't turn down things like that.

"Ola has been amazing on Strictly and in the main it's been a great experience, but it's time to walk away."
