The Jonathan Ross Show (10.30pm UTV Ireland) features Cristiano Ronaldo, Agyness Deyn and former Doctor Who actor David Tennant, star of the forthcoming Netflix production, Marvel’s Jessica Jones. MoTD Special: David Beckham's Match For Children is at 10.20pm BBC One, and David Gilmour: Wider Horizons (9.45pm BBC Two) profiles the celebrated axe-man and former Floyd singer and song-writer, currently touting his Rattle That Lock album.

Football superstar and global icon, Cristiano Ronaldo, joins Wossy for an exclusive interview, as the Real Madrid legend makes his first ever UK chat show appearance. Messi is an obvious contender  but, 30 year old Ronaldo is arguably the greatest player in the world  – he  won the Fifa Ballon d’Or award three times.  The former Manchester United player and current Real Madrid star  also plays with his national team, Portugal. He joins Jonathan to speak about his world, family and career ahead of a documentary about his life, Ronaldo, the first official and fully authorised film. The show also features model-turned actress Agyness Deyn and former Doctor Who actor David Tennant, star of the forthcoming Netflix production, Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

MoTD Special: David Beckham's Match For Children

10.20pm BBC One

Highlights of the Match for Children from Old Trafford. David Beckham will captain a Great Britain and Ireland XI against an all-star Rest Of The World team led by France legend Zinedine Zidane. In the process, Beckham will be reunited with his former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who returns to the dugout where he spent 26 years as manager. Beckham and Zidane will be joined by some of football’s biggest names, while former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of the World XI to help raise money for UNICEF.

David Gilmour: Wider Horizons

9.45pm BBC Two

Billed as 'an intimate portrait of one of the greatest guitarists and singers of all time', this  72-minute film on the former Pink Floyd singer and writer features contributions from some of his collaborators, in particular his wife, lyricist Polly Samson. Also presdent is producer Phil Manzanera who helps to shed light on how the songs on Gilmour's latest album, Rattle That Lock, were crafted before being released for our listening pleasure. Alan Yentob presents.
