Richard Hawley and Gavin James are amongst the first names to be announced for the new series of Other Voices, which will be recorded in Dingle next month.

Filming of the fourteenth season of the RTÉ series takes place from December 4 to 6, once again at St. James’ Church.

Five names have so far been confirmed including Hawley who makes a return visit to Other Voices for the first time since 2011. The two-time Mercury nominee will perform songs from his recently released album Hollow Meadows.

Other acts making their way to Kerry include singer-songwriter Gavin James, who's just finished a US tour supporting Sam Smith and who releases his debut studio album Bitter Pill next week, former Supergrass frontman, Gaz Coombes, who was recently nominated for a Mercury Prize for his album Matador, British singer-songwriter Lapsely and Irish rock band Otherkin.

Gavin James will also be performing at Other Voices

Other acts will be announced over the coming weeks. Executive Producer, Philip King said: "Other Voices will host the most exciting music this year in back rooms, front rooms, bar-rooms, shops and churches from early in the morning to the depths of the night.

"We will welcome music from Ireland, England and America and showcase the bands, musicians, artists and writers that will be the soundtrack for 2016 and beyond."

There's also a chance again for up-and-coming artists to bag an appearance at the IMRO Other Room slot. Bands can send in an application until Monday next, November 16, to othervoices.ie.
