The latest candidate to be fired on BBC's The Apprentice has revealed a prophetic dream the night before they received their marching orders from Alan Sugar.

Natalie Dean was on the losing team on Wednesday night's challenge to create a storybook and audio book for three to five-year-olds.

"I had a dream that I got fired for being useless, and that's kind of what happened the next day," she said, adding: "I woke up still in the house, but I was like: 'Yeah I'm getting fired'. I was ready for it."

When the moment arrived, Sugar questioned her maturity and pointed to her poor sales on the task.

"Natalie, your pitch was terrible," he said. "I'm not sure you think before you speak. You just haven't shown me enough. On this particular occasion - you're fired."

Dean did not take issue with being the contestant to go.

"Based on the fact that I sold less than anyone else in my team, it's fair to fire me ... I can't really argue with it too much. I think because I sold less than anyone else that day, and it was down to sales, and we didn't win - that it was fair," she said.

The 25-year-old, who has plans to finish a spy novel and write about football, said that setting up her own business was some way down the line.

"I'd like to get some more experience first," she admitted. "I wouldn't have done this at this stage in my life if it wasn't for this process. I definitely want to have my own business in future, but it's something I'll probably look to do in three, four years rather than now."
