The final trailer for In the Heart of the Sea, the adventure which includes Irish actors Brendan Gleeson, Sam Keeley and Cillian Murphy among its cast, has been unveiled ahead of the film's December release – if you suffer from seasickness hold on tight.

Also starring Chris Hemsworth, Ben Whishaw and Tom Holland, In the Heart of the Sea tells the true story of the Essex, a ship which was attacked by a whale and became the inspiration for Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick.

The Ron Howard-directed film is based on Nathaniel Philbrick's best-selling book of the same name.

Hemsworth plays first mate Owen Chase; Murphy plays second mate Matthew Joy; Whishaw portrays author Melville with Holland cast as young seaman Tom Nickerson and Gleeson playing the same character 30 years later.

In the Heart of the Sea will be released in Ireland on December 26. Its original US release was scheduled for March but was then postponed until December so that the film would be more prominent during awards season.
