The Oscar-nominated Irish animation feature Song of the Sea is being released on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD.

Directed by Tomm Moore, Song of the Sea features the voices of Brendan Gleeson, Fionnula Flanagan, David Rawle and singer Lisa Hannigan, and received widespread critical praise.

The story revolves around Ben, a young Irish boy, and his little sister Saoirse, a girl who can turn into a seal. They go on an adventure to free the faeries and save the spirit world.

"I really worked heard this time to make a film that would appeal to as broad an audience as possible," said director Moore.

"I'm pretty sure that adults and teenagers will enjoy the visuals and the music and the story, but I wanted to make a film like The Jungle Book or My Neighbour Totoro that younger audiences could enjoy and then come back to again and again as they grew up."

The Digital HD version is available from November 2, while the DVD, Blu-ray and VOD versions are released on November 9, and include audio commentary and behind the scenes and art featurettes.
