Bill Bailey's tour bus has been stolen from outside a venue in Liverpool hours before he was about to perform there.

The English comedian - not noted for anti-Scouse jokes - announced that his tour bus was stolen from outside Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall on Monday afternoon (October 26).

Bailey is currently on the road with his Limboland tour, his new live show that has been described as being about 'the gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are'.

Following his show in Liverpool, Bailey tweeted: "Lively crowd @liverpoolphil last night - shame our tour bus was nicked from outside the venue! So gig not too bad all things considered".

Bailey's tour manager, Neil Adams, confirmed to the Liverpool Echo that thieves stole the vehicle at around 2.30pm.
