Kerry Katona's husband George Kay has been charged with assaulting her at their home in East Sussex.
According to the BBC, Kay has been charged with assault by beating and unlawful possession of a stun gun disguised as a torch.
He was arrested at their home in Crowborough on October 3 following an alleged domestic dispute with Katona.
The former rugby player was released on bail and returned to the police station on Saturday (October 24), where he was charged with assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: "A man has been charged in connection with a domestic incident in Crowborough earlier this month."
The 35-year-old former rugby player is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on November 26.
Former Atomic Kitten star Katona and Kay married in September 2014 and have a one-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge together.
After Kay's arrest, Katona's spokesperson confirmed that their marriage is over.
In a statement, her representative said: "It is with deep sadness that Kerry announces the end of her marriage to George Kay. Her focus now will be on her gorgeous children."
Katona has children Molly, aged 14 and Lilly-Sue, aged 12 with former husband Brian McFadden, and Heidi, aged 8 and Max, aged 7 from her marriage to Mark Croft.
