Brooklyn star and Carlow native Saoirse Ronan and Irish rugby coach Joe Schmidt will be joining Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show tonight. Plus fresh from Strictly Come Dancing, Daniel O'Donnell be part of a Late Late Country Music Special.
Joe Schmidt is set to join Tubridy for his first in-depth interview since Ireland's disappointing exit from the Rugby World Cup.
Schmidt has spoken very little since Ireland's lost out on a semi-final place to Argentina following a 43-20 scoreline last Sunday. It is believed Schmidt will talk about the team's overall performance and the losses suffered through injuries, as well as the disappointment of failing to progress further than the quarter finals.
Following her appearance on the red carpet at premiere of Brooklyn at the Savoy cinema in Dublin last night, Saoirse Ronan will chat to Tubs about life as an Irish girl in Hollywood and those Oscar rumours.
Plus, O'Donnell will be giving his first major Irish television interview since he was voted off the BBC show last Sunday. He’ll be spilling the beans about his time on Strictly as well as his life as one of Ireland’s most popular stars.
He’ll also be performing one of his most popular songs on a night when The Late Late Show celebrates the cream of the Irish country scene.
Country legend Big Tom will be making a rare appearance. The veteran singer remains one of the biggest draws on the Irish country scene and he will be joined by The Mainliners for a performance of Four Country Roads.
Nathan Carter will be dropping in for a chat and a rendition of Bob Dylan's Wagon Wheel while Derek Ryan will also join Ryan Tubridy in studio.
Other big names set to appear on Friday night’s show include Mike Denver, Philomena Begley, Ray Lynam, Declan Nerney and TR Dallas as well as newcomer Lisa McHugh.
