Phil Collins has revealed a publishing deal with Century publishers to deliver his autobiography, due to hit the shelves in October 2016.

The iconic musician and former Genesis frontman recently postponed an extensive promotional tour for the reissue of solo albums, due to back surgery. He declares that he is now “ready to go on record about my life in music with all the highs and all the lows and to tell the story from my point of view, warts and all.” The title of the proposed book is indeed Warts and All.

In an announcement from Century, Collins declared that he had been approached several times about writing his memoir but that only now did the time feel right. The Londoner has sold in excess of 100 million albums both as a band member with Genesis and as a solo artist.

John le Carré has also revealed that he will undertake his first non-fiction work, his memoir, entitled The Pigeon Tunnel: Stories from My Life.
