Country megastar Garth Brooks showed his support for the Irish rugby team earlier today by posing with the Irish team strip ahead of our quarter final World Cup defeat at the hands of Argentina.
Could Brooks, who was due to play five nights in Croke Park, the sacred home of the GAA, last year, be making a pitch to do a show in the Aviva Stadium next year?
Harry Potter author JK Rowling also cast a spell to help our chances in the dying minutes of the game. Well, it was worth a try . . .
