The wild men of Irish comedy, the Hardy Bucks, are back this October Bank Holiday with a new season of their hit comedy.

Following on from the success of last year's The Hardy Bucks Movie - which followed the gang of slackers as they set out on a last minute road trip to watch Ireland compete in the 2012 European Championships in Poland - they're returning to the small screen in the company of well-known Irish actresses, Fair City's Aoibheann McCaul and Susan Loughnane from Love/Hate.

The Hardy Bucks Ride Again will see the return of all the gang including Martin Maloney as Eddie Durkan, Chris Tordoff as The Viper, and Owen Colgan as Buzz McDonnell.

As well as the usual mayhem and bad behaviour, this time around the lads get caught up in a Mayo love triangle.

The Viper is nursing a broken heart whilst running his new business venture, Viper's Vapours. Eddie and Buzz may or may not have met the women of their dreams, Frenchtoast may or may not be back on the sauce and Boo and Koffi may or may not be getting married.

Ealier this year the show's producer and director Mike Cockayne said: “I really feel that this series will be the best yet. The lads are all on top form and the biggest challenge we’re going to face is fitting all of this great material into a half hour.”

Ritchie Neville from 5ive on set with the lads

The new season will also see cameos from some famous faces including Ritchie Neville from boyband 5ive, while comedy actor Steve Brody from Life’s Too Short will also put in an appearance.

Hardy Bucks won StoryLand, RTÉ’s drama competition, in 2009 and the web series became an online phenomenon and an instant word-of-mouth favourite.
