Fans of Lady Gaga will see her in a new light when she stars in American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth season of Ryan Murphy's spooky TV show.
The singer plays The Countess Elizabeth in the show's fifth season, which began last night (October 7) in the US and starts on UK satellite channel Fox on October 20.
"It's been so fun," Gaga said at the show's premiere on Saturday evening, describing it as a masterpiece and praising creator Ryan Murphy, who was also the brains behind Glee and Nip/Tuck.
"Everybody on this cast has been really open and available to me in a very honest way, so I'm able to be myself in a way I feel like I haven't been in a really long time, so they are just making me feel so alive."
She added: "I'm just really happy to be a part of it. I like being a part of someone else's vision, it's really exhilarating."
In the show, the 29-year old's character tends to the Hotel Cortez's halls and is surrounded by strange children known as the Towheads.
The plot revolves around the Ten Commandments Killer, and follows a detective (played by Wes Bentley) who investigates a series of murders.
