Dublin cinema-goers have named Artane man Brendan Gleeson as their favourite actor.
Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker was named as their top actress in a survey commissioned ahead of the opening of a new cinema in the Dublin suburb of Finglas.
Dubliner Colm Meaney and Castleknock native Colin Farrell also figure prominently on the list, along with Cabinteely's Amy Huberman and 95-year-old Hollywood veteran Maureen O'Hara, who was born in Ranelagh.
Nearly 1000 Dubliners responded to the survey ahead of the opening of the new nine-screen Odeon cinema in Charlestown, Finglas on October 16.
