This really happened. Self styled "spirit medium" Derek Acorah did a psychic reading on Twink's dog Teddy on RTÉ's Today Show and pronounced that he sees him "living a long life".
The mini Yorkshire Terrier briefly became even more famous than his owner after he was stolen from Twink's home in Knocklyon in September last year. Luckily Teddy was found several days later following a tip-off and Twink and a grateful nation breathed a sigh of relief.
During a bizarre interview on The Today Show, Acorah told Twink that she needs to keep a close eye on Teddy as he is too trusting and would go away with strangers, saying she needs to "control the love for him by making sure he's not out of sight".
He also assured Twink that her dog is doing much better than the last time he saw him, when he had "90% trauma", whereas now he only has "1% trauma left with him of that sad, bad time".
Acorach added that the pooch "needs to be in your company 24/7. He can't help it what's going on inside. I see him living a long life."
The clairvoyant, who appears on the British paranormal series Most Haunted, was a guest on The Today Show ahead of his Irish tour, which will see him appear in venues across the country.
