The iconic golden bikini worn by Carrie Fisher in Return of The Jedi has been sold at auction for a whopping $96,000.
The lucky unknown bidder also took home a letter of authenticity from designer Richard Miller, who worked for George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic, to prove the costume is the real deal.
Fisher wore the scanty outfit in the third instalment of the Star Wars saga in 1983 when she was held captive by Han Solo's arch enemy, Jabba The Hut.
Since then the opulent-looking two piece has become iconic among sci-fi geeks and even saw Ross Geller in Friends convincing his on-again/off-again girlfriend Rachel to dress up like Leia for a night of passion.
The outfit was just one of more than 50 items of Star Wars memorabilia being sold at Californian auction house Profiles in History during the online auction.
Other movie memorabilia up for sale included the harpoon, yellow barrels and machete used in Jaws by Robert Shaw, Harrison Ford's fedora and whip from Raiders Of The Lost Ark, The Fonz's leather jacket from Happy Days, one of the jumpsuits worn by Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, and a blue top worn by Leonard Nimoy on Star Trek.
Fisher will reprise her role in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is set for release in Ireland in December.
