Donna McCaul, the sister of Irish X Factor contestant Joseph McCaul, is continuing to break America and revealed on Twitter she has featured on the soundtrack for a new horror movie starring and directed by Julia Roberts' brother Eric.
The 31-year-old Athlone singer, who is better known for representing Ireland in the Eurovision alongside her brother Joe in the Ukraine in 2005, shared a promotional picture for the upcoming horror movie, followed by the caption: "This movie has just been released in LA with a song i featured on. Staring and directed by Eric Roberts #rentit" (sic).
Donna is making waves in the US with her debut single Twisted Fairytale having been picked up by the producers of popular FX anthology series, American Horror Story.
Earlier this year she beat thousands to make it to the blind auditions on The Voice US performing in front of Christina Aguilera, Blake Sheldon, Adam Levine and Pharrell.
Donna previously said she wished she had done things differently in her career – especially how she and Joe looked while representing Ireland in the Eurovision.
“When we first entered Eurovision, he was this scrawny little guy with ginger hair and freckles," she said.
“Now he looks brilliant. He’s been working hard at the gym and the freckles have disappeared.
“Back then, we had no say in how we were styled. Even now, I cringe looking back at the pictures.
"These days, my style is funky and feminine and I decide on my own clothes, hair and make-up," she added.
Donna's brother Joe is currently fighting for a place in The X Factor's Six Chair Challenge. It's his second attempt to advance in the competition after he was kicked off during Bootcamp in 2013.
He will have a tough road ahead as Cowell has been selected as mentor of the Overs category - much to his displeasure. "Oh, f***! Are you winding me up?" he said when his category was revealed last night.
Last week the music mogul commented about Joe's performance at Bootcamp and said, "Is there any way, like that movie The Fly, you can put that voice into a another contestant?".
The soundtrack which Donna features on is from the movie Dark Moon Rising - a horror flick where a group of shape-shifting werewolves descend upon a small town in search of a mysterious girl who is re-born once every 2000 years. The creepy trailer ain't half bad.
