The force may be weak! Domhnall Gleeson isn't sure if Star Wars fans will be impressed with The Force Awakens and said the cast and crew put their heart and soul into the new movie.
“(I don’t know) if fans will be entirely satisfied,” he admitted.
“That’s the bitter truth. We put our heart and soul into it. I saw how hard everybody was working on it. I think it’s got a shot,” the 32-year-old Dubliner told InStyle.
Gleeson also opened up about working alongside Leonardo Di Caprio in new western The Revenant saying he is one of the biggest legends he's ever met.
“Leonardo is a brilliant actor. Because he’s one of the most famous people in the world, people talk about that,” he revealed.
“But it would be silly to forget the fact that he’s fabulous and brilliant as an actor," he added.
Meanwhile, Domhnall's dad, Brendan Gleeson, has joined the cast of video game movie Assassin's Creed.
Gleeson will work alongside fellow Irishman and Macbeth star Michael Fassbender in the upcoming adaptation, which will also feature Marion Cotillard.
Jeremy Irons will play Cotillard's father, while Gleeson will take on the role of Fassbender's father, as the film follows the same plot premise as the hugely popular games.
By unlocking his genetic code, Fassbender's protagonist Callum Lynch is able to relive his assassinating ancestor's memories of jumping over buildings and stabbing people.
The film, which is being helmed by Macbeth director Justin Kurzel, began production in August.
