Mary Berry has promised viewers that this year's Great British Bake Off final is going to be a close affair.
Tamal Ray, Nadiya Hussain and Ian Cumming are the final three bakers in the frame to be named this year's champion.
"The final this year is extremely close," says Berry. "Usually there is a bit of a disaster but this time it is very exciting, because as a viewer you won't know [what happens]. You will be surprised.
"We are the ones that taste it, though," she adds. "That's all we have to remind our viewers."
Berry is also keen to emphasise the positive nature of the show, while pointing out that none of the finalists make any mistakes with their final three bakes.
"Our aim is to get people to enjoy Bake Off at home and for our bakers to enjoy what they are doing," she insists. "We don't want to catch them out. It's a very happy occasion and it's about encouraging people to bake at home."
The 80-year-old also states that she's happy to continue working on the hugely popular show and hasn't got any plans for any other major projects.
"I absolutely still love doing this show," she says. "I have no burning ambitions and I can honestly say the thing I love most is Bake Off. That will always come first."
The Great British Bake Off final is on Wednesday on BBC One.
