The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has confirmed they are reviewing an investigation into the claim that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted a woman in 2008.

The prosecutors have confirmed that local police have turned over the results of their investigation into the alleged incident which involved model Chloe Goins when she was 18-years-old.

Goins claims that Cosby assaulted her while attending a party at the Playboy Mansion.

Jane Robison of the D.A.'s office said: “It is under review by the Sex Crimes division.”

According to the LA Times newspaper, Cosby's lawyers have denied the accusations, saying he wasn't at the party.

Cosby has not been criminally charged for the incident.

The LA District Attorney's office declined to pursue a previous Cosby investigation from the LA Police Department earlier this year because the alleged incident took place 31 years ago.

The 78-year-old actor has been accused by at least 50 women of sexual harassment and assault.
