Dublin band Delorentos are the latest act to take part in Around The World in 80 Videos, an on-going project which aims to see bands all over the world shoot a video in one take with no edits. New videos from The Coronas and HamsandwicH are due next week.
This is the 26th video from ATW80 and is the third of five shot in Ireland.
Delorentos new film is for City's Still Warm, a track from their acclaimed album Night Becomes Light, and it is described by the band as a "love story based in Dublin that not only tells the story of a couple that had a magical night in the city, but also is a tribute from Around The World in 80 Videos and Delorentos to the city."
The band added: "The main idea for the music video was to have an Irish couple, falling in love, in one magical night in Dublin. A night full of memories, that would stay frozen in their minds forever. Based on that, we filmed the love story with two local actors, Sorcha Brennan and Emmet Byrne, in one night in Dublin and then projected the video of their memories from that night on a wall, in an Alley in Beaumont, on another night."
Next Monday, October 5, The Coronas will debut a new music video for Get Loose and on October 12, HamsandwicH's new music video for In Perfect Rhymes, the band's new single, will follow.
ATW80 is the brainchild of filmmakers Diana Boccara and Leo Longo and all music video are shot in one take with no cuts and include an episode of Behind the Trip, the web series which looks at how the pair set about making the videos.
They describe ATW80 as "an independent and collaborative project that seeks to rethink the relationship between music and filmmaking, throughout the world."
