Patrick Dempsey has posted a picture of himself on the set of upcoming movie Bridget Jones's Baby and revealed his co-stars Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth are a “joy to work with.”

The former Grey’s Anatomy star shared the snap with fans on Instagram and said that he really enjoys filming in the UK.

“Nice to be working in England. Renee and Colin are an absolute joy to work with!

A good couple of days rehearsing at Pinewood Studios. I really like it here!," he wrote.

Bridget Jones's Diary was first published in 1996 and adapted into a feature film starring Zellweger, Grant and Colin Firth in 2001. It is believed that Hugh Grant will not be returning to the franchise for a third outing.

It was recently reported fans who missed out on Ed Sheeran's sold-out Dublin gigs in Croke Park may soon get to see a glimpse of the concerts on the big screen as they will feature in the new Bridget Jones movie.

According to the Irish Sun, one of Sheeran's Croke Park concerts will be featured in Bridget Jones's Baby - the third movie in the popular franchise.

Producers shot scenes of Bridget sitting on a mystery man's shoulders while Sheeran performs on stage, but there was no sign of Renée Zellweger as a stunt double was used.

According to the paper, a source revealed: "There was no risk in filming Renée at a busy gig. But they knew the cat would be out of the bag the minute people saw her at the show."

The source added: "Renée's body double and the cameramen were in and out of the crowd as quickly as possible.

"These are the first moments in early filming for the new movie."
