It's been officially announced that US dramedy Devious Maids will return for a fourth season.
The third run of Marc Cherry's frothy follow-up to Desperate Housewives, following the exploits of Latino women who keep house for the rich and spoiled of Beverly Hills, is currently airing on Tuesday nights on RTÉ2.
American cable and satellite television channel Lifetime is finalising its 2016 schedule and adding ten more episodes of the series produced by Cherry and former Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria.
"Devious Maids is a steady hit that continues to deliver for us. It has found a loyal audience that is socially engaged with the show," Lifetime executive vice president Liz Gateley announced.
"The entire writing and production team worked hard to up the storytelling this year and the cast delivered great performances, so the show just gets better and better. I am very excited to renew it for another season."
The show features former Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem and Judy Reyes as maids, although Ortiz's character Marisol Suarez is now an author and running a maid placement agency.
Cherry – whose CV also includes 1990s' sitcom The Golden Girls - adapted Devious Maids from the popular Mexican telenovela Ellas son la Alegría del Hogar.
