She's had a hit movie, a top-rated TV show, opened for Madonna and has won an Emmy. Now Amy Schumer is set to add author to her list of achievements following an eye-watering multi-million book deal.

The 34-year-old star has secured a deal worth between €7 and €9 million for her memoir, thought to be called The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo.

The massive advance for the book, which is due for release late 2016, tops what Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Lena Dunham and Mindy Kaling each got for their books.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Schumer's book will be a collection of funny essays full of observations from family and childhood, and she won't shy away from her feminist view point.

"Now readers will have the opportunity to meet Amy Schumer as a writer of real talent, a daughter, a sister, and a young professional making her way in the world," Carolyn Reidy, president and CEO of Gallery's parent company Simon & Schuster, said in a statement.

Schumer added: "Believe it or not, there's actually more I have to say."

Schumer's TV show Inside Amy scooped the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series at Sunday's ceremony.

Taking to the stage to accept her golden statuette Schumer said: "We care so much about this show... This show fights for what we believe in... Thanks everybody who has helped me... the girl who gave me this smoky eye, I really love it.'
