Ed Sheeran, Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher and Foals lead the nominations for this year's Q Awards with three nods apiece.

Both Sheeran and Gallagher are in the running for Best Solo Artist, alongside Kanye West, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith, with the two musicians also given the nod for Best Act In The World.

Sheeran has also been shortlisted for Best Live Act, with Gallagher's third nomination coming in the Best Album category for his record Chasing Yesterday.

Electric Picnic headliner Florence has been nominated for Best Track for her single What Kind of Man, while her album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful is in the running for Best Album. The video for her latest single Ship To Wreck is up for the Best Video award.

Foals' single What Went Down is listed in the Best Track category as well as Best Video section. They also join Sheeran, Gallagher, Blur and Muse in the Best Act in the World shortlist.

Absolute Radio DJ Christian O'Connell will return to host the awards for the second year in a row. The awards take place on October 19.
