All the women who independent - throw your hands up at me. Now all the people who want to see Charlie's Angels returning to the big screen it's time to raise the roof.

Elizabeth Banks, who recently made her directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2 earlier this year, is reportedly in talks to direct a reboot of the Charlie's Angels franchise.

As well as directing, 41-year-old Banks who is well known for her role as Avery Jessup on the hit NBC sitcom 30 Rock, will also produce the movie with husband and production partner, Max Handelman.

The movie franchise is based on the popular 1970s TV show of the same name, which starred the late Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith as the private detectives working for a mysterious millionaire they refer to as Charlie Townsend.

In 2000, Sony teamed up with producer and star Drew Barrymore for a big screen version of the popular TV series, which featured Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Bill Murray as Townsend employee Bosley and the late John Forsythe, the original voice of Charlie in the TV show.

2015 seems to be the year of bringing classic movies back to life with The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and Mary Poppins among some of classics that will be heading for theatres again.

Banks can next be seen as Effie in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, which will hit screens on November 19.
