Taylor Swift leads the nominees for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, while One Direction and Ed Sheeran also top the bill.
Sheeran, who played two sold out concerts at Croke Park earlier this year, has been nominated in four categories including Best UK and Ireland Act, Best Male, Best Live Act and Best World Stage.

Having announced their plans for an extended break after their fifth album, One Direction - Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - are up for three prizes, for Best UK and Ireland Act, Best Pop and Biggest Fans.
The four-piece will battle Swift, Justin Bieber, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Ariana Grande to be names Best Pop act.
Ellie Goulding, James Bay, Mark Ronson and Jess Glynne are all vying for a moonman, but their nods pale in comparison to Swift, who leads with nine nominations including three for her hit single Bad Blood.

Canadian singer Justin Bieber follows closely behind with six EMA nods, boosted by the global success of his chart-topping track What Do You Mean?
Little Mix were chosen by fans to be the wildcard in the Best UK and Ireland Act category.
The 2015 MTV EMAs will take place at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan on Sunday October 25.
