The award-winning Dublin drama Glassland, which stars Jack Reynor and Toni Collette, is to be released in North America next year.

US distribution company Film Movement has agreed a deal for a theatrical and VOD release of the film, which was written and directed by Gerard Barrett (Pilgrim Hill).

Announcing the deal, Film Movement President Michael Rosenberg said: "Glassland is a film that showcases phenomenal performances by its leads, as well as a new, fresh directorial voice in Irish cinema. We are pleased to be releasing this film for others to discover it."

Glassland, which opened in Ireland in April, tells the story of John (Reynor), a struggling Dublin taxi driver who reaches a crossroads in his life as he tries to save his mother Jean (Collette) from addiction. The cast also includes Will Poulter and Michael Smiley.
