Tom Hardy showed a flash of the on-screen menace from his current movie Legend for real during a press conference after he shut down a reporter who asked questions about his sexuality.
The whole exchange become very awkward after he was asked a question during a press conference for the movie at the Toronto Film Festival.
Hardy quickly became very testy after a journalist from LGBT site, Daily Xtra, referred to the actor's sexuality as "ambiguous".
He asked Hardy, “In the film, your character Ronnie is very open about his sexuality. But given interviews you’ve done in the past, your own sexuality seems a bit more ambiguous. Do you find it hard for celebrities to talk to media about their sexuality?”
“What on earth are you on about?” Hardy replied incredulously.

The journalist later said he was referring to an interview the actor gave to Attitude magazine. In 2008, Tom was quoted in Attitude as saying 'Of course I have' when asked if he ever had relations with men.
He said: 'As a boy? Of course I have. I'm an actor for f***'s sake. I'm an artist. I've played with everything and everyone.'
Hardy later said in a subsequent interview that his words were "misconstrued".

In fairness the actor recently revealed himself to be a very good sport after some embarrassing photos from his old MySpace account resurfaced.
The pre-fame shots showed the star posing in his 'tighty-whities' and pouting seductively. However he told Sky News in an interview last week, "I might not be an Adonis, but I like to think of myself as an Adonis in that photo".
