Game of Thrones was the big winner at last night's Creative Arts Emmy Awards taking home eight trophies for technical achievement including visual effects, casting and stunt work.
The hit HBO series took home the award for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, beating out stiff competition from other major dramas Mad Men, Orange is the New Black, Downton Abbey and House of Cards.
Game of Thrones also took home the titles for non-prosthetic make-up, single camera picture editing, sound editing, sound mixing, production design, special visual effects and stunt co-ordination.
The ceremony saw almost 80 awards handed out for technical and behind-the-scenes work, and is a precursor to next week's Primetime Emmy Awards which will take place on September 20.
