Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has been released on bail having reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing a Ferrari in London last night.

The 27-year-old singer allegedly collided with a Saab outside a Tube station in North London before midnight. Police officers were called to the scene and she is believed to have failed a breathalyser test.

The singer was held for almost 22 hours in a North London police station after the crash, before being released on bail until November.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "Police were called shortly before midnight on Thursday to outside Southgate Underground Station following reports of two cars in collision.

"Officers and London Fire Brigade attended. There were no reported injuries. One of the drivers, a 27-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and taken to an East London police station. A breath test was administered. We do not discuss the results."

It's not the first time she has ran foul of the law. She had previously been charged with the alleged supply of Class A drugs following a tabloid 'sting'. However the trial collapsed after the judge threw out the case after he told the jury that he felt that a prosecution witness had lied.

She told a BBC 3 documentary afterwards that she had suffered depression and had taken a potentially lethal concoction of painkillers and alcohol after her entrapment by the paper.

A reporter had posed as a film producer and led Tulisa to believe she was in the running for a £3.5m film deal to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
