It's all change at RTÉ 2fm as Eoghan McDermott took over the coveted drivetime slot from today.
Eoghan took to the airwaves in his new role at 4.30pm in what is a low-key debut for the presenter.
Back in June, when it was announced that he had landed the drivetime gig, he described his new role as huge honour.
He said “To be given a national platform with Ireland’s most iconic station is a genuine honour. It’s also a privilege to be handed the baton by the legendary Colm Hayes, one of the most recognizable voice in the country. I look forward to wooing the audience with my original beat poetry."

Today he welcomed listeners to the new show and kicked off proceedings with Drag Me Down from One Direction - no doubt to calm the anger of some fans who were less than impressed with this tweet he posted about their impending 'gap year'.

Despite feeling the wrath of distressed One Directioners, there was still plenty of love being shown for Eoghan. Best of luck sir!
A great big break a leg to @eoghanmcdermo - starting his brand new show after us every day. He's on today from 4.30. pic.twitter.com/kvZqlZCeST
