Hozier has revealed that he doesn't want to replicate the sound of his global hit single Take Me To Church.
The Wicklow man said that although he's very proud of the song, he doesn't want to analyse why it was so successful and reproduce it on his new album.
Speaking to Digital Spy at V Festival, the singer-songwriter explained: "There's two ways you can look at it. I didn't expect it to take off like it did, and I could analyse it and try and do it again, but I think if you're making music for the sole purpose of trying to sell singles or have a hit single, you might be doing it the wrong way.
"I was just very proud of that song. I'm not sure what kind of shape the next album will take."
