Ray who? Today FM have signed up a new D'Arcy to its schedule after it confirmed that former iRadio presenter Fergal D'Arcy is to join the station to present its main evening show.
The host of iRadio’s afternoon show I Go Home will take over from Colm O'Sullivan who has presented the Mix Up on the station since 2013. Colm is now taking up a senior role in programming at Today FM.
A former PPI Award winner, Fergal has been with iRadio for eight years and started his radio career as a breakfast presenter and producer with Clare FM. He's also a well known club DJ, having played numerous music festivals, including The Electric Picnic and Oxegen.
Speaking about his big move Fergal said “I've always prided myself on being an ideas man more than a presenter, with this in mind a move to what in my opinion, is the most dynamic and creative station in the country, is a step in the right direction. Anyone that knows me 'expects something different' every time they see me .... I'll fit right in.”
Today FM's CEO Peter McParlin said “We’ve been admiring Fergal’s on-air creativity for some time and I’m delighted that we’ve managed to get one of the brightest young talents on Irish radio onto Today FM."
