English author Ivor Davis has recalled the fateful and fun evening in 1964 when Bob Dylan first met The Beatles. Watch Ivor relive the evening here in our interview.

Davis has just published The Beatles and Me, his memoir of the band's debut US tour in 1964 on which he was the only journalist to shadow the band.

The book recounts The Beatles' meetings with Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali, then named Cassius Clay, and the night the band were taken to meet Dylan in New York, where the young Dylan promptly proceeded to get the band stoned.
