A memorial service will be held on Saturday for Ian Jones, the boyfriend of Annie Lennox's daughter Tali Lennox-Fruchtman, who drowned in a kayaking accident at the weekend.

The service will be held at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.

Its obituary for the 32-year-old reads: "On Saturday August 8, 2015, the world lost an amazing man.

"His life was filled with creativity. Ian was a successful model with IMG in New York. Not only was he a beautiful model, but he was a beautiful soul. He was a kid at heart, funny, down to earth, caring man. He was a bright light to all who knew him."

The obituary continues: "He was also a talented, published photographer with a special eye for the homeless. His Street Kids Project allowed many homeless youths to transform their lives and give them hope. Ian was a dedicated participant in the AA Organization and through them affected many other lives with his testimony.

"We love you with all our hearts. Rest in Peace Sweet, Sweet Ian. We will see you again."

Jones and model and artist Lennox-Fruchtmann were kayaking on New York's Hudson River when their boat capsized. She was rescued by a passing boat after they became separated. Neither she nor Jones was wearing a lifejacket.

Jones' mother Sherron told US magazine People that her son's remains would be cremated and brought home to Yardley, Pennsylvania. Another memorial service in New York is also being organised.
