The BBC has announced that EastEnders star Kellie Bright will be competing in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Bright, who plays Linda Carter on the soap, joins chef and Ready, Steady, Cook presenter Ainsley Harriott and writer and broadcaster Jeremy Vine in the line-up.
The actress said she had two reasons for joining the show: "The first is that as I will be turning 40 next year, I think it is the perfect time for a new, exciting challenge. The second reason is because if I said 'no' Linda Carter would never forgive me!"
More contestants are set to be revealed in the coming days.
