BBC Radio 2 presenter and former Newsnight anchor Jeremy Vine is the first contestant to be announced for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The announcement was made on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 on Monday morning.
Writing on Twitter, writer and broadcaster Vine said: "I was looking forward to hearing @achrisevans announce the first person on #Strictly - and it's me."
The series returns to BBC One in the autumn.
