Fast-rising Dublin act Girl Band have released the official video for their single Paul and it's pretty subversive stuff even by their visceral standards. Watch it here.
The video was directed by Bob Gallagher, the man behind the Dublin four piece’s recent grizzly promo for their eight-minute cover of Blawan’s Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage? and it was inspired by an audition tape for a kids' TV show.
The single is available for to pre-order on 12” vinyl here.
Paul is taken from Girl Band’s debut album Holding Hands with Jamie, which is out on September 25 on Rough Trade. The album track listing is Umbongo, Pears For Lunch, Baloo, In Plastic, Paul, The Last Riddler, Texting An Alien, F***ing Butter, The Witch Doctor.
Girl Band play: September 6 - Electric Picnic, Laois, September 25 - Bar Sub, Belfast, October 1 - Roisin Dubh, Galway, October 2 - Seoda Shows, Limerick, October 3 - The Pavilion, Cork, November 7 - The Button Factory, Dublin.
