Older than Ireland, the award-winning film which stars thirty Irish centenarians, is to open in cinemas nationwide next month.
Winner of the Best Feature Documentary award at the Galway Film Fleadh, Older than Ireland has been made by Alex Fegan, the director of the acclaimed The Irish Pub.
In the film the thirty share their life stories, from "their first pair of shoes, the thrill of their first kiss, from the magic of their wedding day to the tragic loss of their loved ones".
Director Fegan has said that making the film was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and that viewers would be "moved and inspired by the honesty and insights of these extraordinary citizens".
Older than Ireland will be released by Element Pictures Distribution around Ireland on September 25.
