Fans who missed out on Ed Sheeran's recent sold-out Dublin gigs in Croke Park may soon get to see a glimpse of the concerts on the big screen after reports that they will feature in the new Bridget Jones movie.

According to the Irish Sun, one of Sheeran's Croke Park concerts will be featured in Bridget Jones's Baby - the third movie in the popular franchise.

Producers shot scenes of Bridget sitting on a mystery man's shoulders while Sheeran performs on stage, but there was no sign of Renée Zellweger as a stunt double was used.

According to the paper, a source revealed: "There was no risk in filming Renée at a busy gig. But they knew the cat would be out of the bag the minute people saw her at the show."

The source added: "Renée's body double and the cameramen were in and out of the crowd as quickly as possible.

"These are the first moments in early filming for the new movie."

Bridget Jones's Baby is set to go into production in the Autumn after problems with the script were finally ironed out and will see Zellweger and Colin Firth reprise their roles from the first two movies.

However, it is unlikely that Hugh Grant will be back after he went on record to say that he wouldn't be part of the third instalment.
